About My Clients
Are you tired of feeling emotionally “all over the place,” and like you’ll never be enough? You have a busy life, but you don’t feel fulfilled or satisfied. Instead, you feel overworked and stuck. You see others who look happy and free but you don't know how they do it. You struggle and you tell yourself you ‘should’ do more: work harder, give more. You wonder, "What is wrong with me?" You feel like contentment is for other people, not you.
My Background and Approach
I work with deep-feeling adults in their 20's thru 50's experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, low-esteem life transitions and difficulties with stress management. My body-centered approach incorporates breath work, mindful movement, grounding experiences, thought reframing and expressive exploration. I help me clients get to know their bodies and to identify unconscious patterns. As we highlight these patterns we can learn the stories they are telling, let them release, guiding you to feel more at peace. I can help you gently shift body and behavior patterns that are no longer serving you so you can live a more full, present life. Why do I love using a body-based, expressive, mindful approach? It works! Using body-based, expressive, and mindfulness therapy techniques means we can access deeply held patterns that can't be reached through talking alone. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is important to me to support efforts large and small in the ongoing quest for racial equity, LGBTQ+ rights, income disparity and de-stigmatizing mental health. I believe much of the suffering we experience in the world is rooted in deep trauma that reaches back many, many generations. I organize an equity and inclusion book club in my community, volunteer with my local public schools, and serve in local politic. I focus my volunteer efforts with the goal of contributing to a strong, supportive community to nurture children and promote a communicative, dynamic, local culture. I believe strong communities can support the metabolizing trauma and contribute to a more awake, loving society. Certainly not least I believe in nurturing myself and my own family. My husband, children and I are always, dancing, reading, imagining, exploring, creating and being silly.
