It's my opinion (and research supports this) that building supportive spaces where individuals can explore their authentic selves and change unhelpful patterns is the most effective way to do therapy. I support the well-being of adults and adolescents experiencing overwhelming emotions, challenging histories, and complex mental health problems. All too often we trade expressing our genuine selves for safety, which can lead to blame, resentment, anxiety, and inexplicable grief.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, have difficulties focusing, continuously put others before yourself, lacking confidence or often have thoughts of comparison? These challenges often impact self-esteem and self worth, which may contribute to increased anxiety or depression. I work with individuals struggling with ideas of perfectionism.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

Let's find time to for you to enjoy one another again.

My sessions are a space for clients to safely explore their feelings, learn new ways to cope with stress, feel validated and supported, and improve their relationships. My clients are people facing challenges like anxiety, depression, difficulty managing their feelings, life transitions, and codependency. I also work with individuals in recovery and those questioning their relationship with alcohol, drugs, or other self-sabotaging behaviors.

You can talk about sadness, fear, regret, and the feelings of all shapes and sizes.
I specialize in individual and couples/relationship therapy for adults, addressing concerns such as anxiety, stress, eating/body image, trauma, relationship issues, identity development/exploration, and life transitions. If you have ADHD, you're not broken—although it may often feel that way. If you're a neurodivergent (ND) person who has spent years trying to function the way neurotypical (NT) people do, you know that a lot of the advice you receive doesn’t seem to work. It's hard to solve ND problems using NT solutions. I can help you learn more about your ADHD patterns, identify areas in your life where ADHD is most challenging, and teach you effective strategies & techniques for managing your challenges.
Have you hit a wall? Do you feel like everything you have tried isn't working? Sometimes we get so overwhelmed by our situation that it's hard to fathom any solution. My role is to be the neutral party that can objectively look at your struggle and help you develop the tools you need to reach a resolution. My ideal clients reflect on our discussions between sessions, engage in behavior change, have a sense of humor, and are willing to do the work.

I help clients who are experiencing gender dysphoria, anxiety, self-criticism and shame, who are wanting to challenge their inner critic and show compassion toward every part of themselves. I love helping clients deconstruct shame and develop shame resilience in order to build empathy and compassion for themselves.

I help clients heal from traumatic experiences. I work from an attachment lens focusing on developmental and relational trauma and breaking free from generational cycles of trauma. I primarily work with pregnant and postpartum persons, and I particularly love working with new parents who find that parenthood triggers their own unhealed childhood wounds. If you decided to work with me, I work hard to create an accountable space for you to share your inner world with me.
Are you always a little on edge? Responding to your environment subconsciously, rapidly and what seemingly appears to be unprovoked? Trouble connecting to your peers socially - a perpetuating feeling of isolation and low morale or empathy? Maybe, you have trouble figuring out why you respond and interact with the world in the ways you do leading one to feel disconnected and untethered. My eclectic approaches help to build insight and deactivate nervous system responses!
Have you been holding it all together for far too long? Maybe you have different faces you show each part of your world and none of them really feel right anymore. You might be experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression or have trauma that has gone unaddressed. And, you're looking for a place to put all of that down. To figure out how the what worked in the past to survive is keeping you from the life you want to live. To live into who you are in a more real and authentic manner.
