My Background and Approach
Elizabel is a Licensed Clinician Professional Counselor in Illinois and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Indiana. Elizabel offers mental heal services in located in Chicago and surrounding areas. Elizabel obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Puerto Rico. Currently, she’s working on completing her Ph.D. in Psychology. Elizabel enjoys working with adolescents, and adults and has a friendly interpersonal and multidisciplinary style, with a balance of humor and direct feedback. Elizabel enjoys and uses various innovative techniques like adapted play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive coaching, confrontation, art, & music as part of therapy interventions. Elizabel has worked with immigrants, substance use disorder individuals and High risk youth in her home country and Illinois and has experience working in school-based programs and trauma informed groups.
