About My Clients
I particularly enjoy working with adults who struggle with anxiety, relationship issues, and/or life transitions. I also have experience supporting folks who experience trauma and depression. Through collaborative goal-setting, my hope is to help you feel relief as soon as possible through non-judgmental support, skill-building, and a deeper awareness of emotions, thoughts, and other patterns that no longer work for you.
My Background and Approach
I work to provide a warm and nurturing environment where clients feel heard, valued, and comfortable collaborating to identify and process any challenges they may be facing. To create sustainable and meaningful change, I help clients to notice patterns that are no longer useful and to create and maintain healthier habits. While I tailor treatment to each person, I often use components from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems, all of which provide concrete tools to cope with and accept discomfort, increase self-compassion, foster a deeper awareness of the mind-body connection, improve relationships, and build a healthier and happier life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all are doing the best we can and many difficult patterns were adaptive and helped us survive at some point. Through awareness, self-compassion, secure relationships, and new tools, we can improve our lives and relationships. As a Social Worker, social justice is important to me and I am in strong support of Black Lives Matter and racial justice, as well as LGBTQ+ allied.
