You want to learn how to express yourself so you can get your needs met. You want to stop drowning in anxiety and worrying about everything. You want to learn how to protect your emotional peace, get rid of anxiety, sleep better and also fix important relationships in your life. And you want to do it fast.
My Background and Approach
I'm not just a nod and smile therapist. I'm a therapist who gets to know the real you, sets goals with you and will work every week with you until you finally get the results you came here for. I believe therapy should work. I'll give you tangible tools to actually help you with specific goals. We'll check in periodically to see how close you are to reaching your goals. And yes, we can talk about issues of faith, race, politics, and just about anything you wish to bring to the table. I love to throw in some humor- because life's too short to be serious all the time. Now here's the therapy jargon part: I utilize CBT for insomnia to help you sleep again, Gottman method for couples therapy and I also use DBT and brainspotting for trauma. In a nutshell, I know my stuff.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Christian therapist. I include prayer, scripture and faith for Christian clients who want to do so. My job isn't to preach or convict you- it's simply to help you include scripture in your growth. I believe we are all equal. But I also give you a space to talk about racial injustice, economic disparities, and all the political stuff that affects your daily life.
