Cognitive behavioral therapy is a deeply researched treatment that has been shown to effectively treat depression, anxiety disorders, marital problems, severe mental illness, and more. In many cases, CBT is even more effective than psychiatric medications. I've been practicing cognitive behavioral therapy with my clients for decades and particularly recommend CBT for people struggling with anxiety and depression.
