About My Clients
I serve those affected by trauma and struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression, including children, adolescents, and adults. I also serve those going through life transition, including immigration and career changes. I support parents struggling to understand and manage their children's behaviors by giving them effective tools. Being bilingual and bicultural (Latinx), I serve English and Spanish-speaking clients; I also offer services in French and Portuguese.
My Background and Approach
I am committed to providing high quality therapy. My work is very collaborative - I aspire to partner with clients to find what will work best for them. I have received extensive training in several evidence-based modalities such as TF-CBT, Prolonged Exposure, Exposure and CBT for anxiety and depression, and PCIT. My work is solution-focused and goal-oriented so clients can work on the issues that bring them in and go back to their families and communities with new insights and tools so they can live a fuller life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a social worker, I am deeply committed to social justice, equality, and the liberation of all humans beings. I believe that a good therapist is mostly a sounding board for the wisdom and strengths that each client has within them. I live in awe at the beauty and resilience of the human spirit. I consider it an honor to walk this path alongside clients.
