My approach is warm, collaborative, and integrative. I aim to create a supportive environment where you feel both understood and challenged, while providing practical tools and insight-oriented feedback. I practice from a strengths-based perspective drawing from multiple modalities and interventions to find what works best for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that relationships remain an integral part of human development and connection at all stages of life. After all it is one of the many ways we create and define meaning, purpose, and life satisfaction. It’s quite common to experience and develop relationships as an adult that are reflective of early childhood experiences particularly in homes where parental figures may have been physically or emotionally unavailable to form lasting secure attachments. In the absence of secure attachments the lack of security and safety in relationships can manifest into insecurities and fears experienced throughout childhood development and later into adulthood. Early childhood narratives and ineffective learned behaviors can be challenged and modified through the use of psychoeducation and talk therapy to promote the formation of effective communication and deeper understanding to enhance both current and future relationships and promote healing from intergenerational trauma.
