I have been providing treatment to people for over 10 years. I am licensed as a clinical psychologist in both California and Illinois and have worked in urban as well as rural settings. I primarily provide treatment to adults, although I occasionally provide treatment to adolescents and young adults, typical 12 years and older. Also, I provide treatment to individuals who are seeking psychotherapy for the first time as well as people who have previously been involved in treatment. I provide psychotherapy that is brief and short-term, including meeting for several sessions to address specific issues and challenges as well as more long-term psychotherapy addressing ongoing mental health issues. I adapt my approach to treatment based on what you are experiencing, the type of treatment you are seeking, and what I believe might help you achieve the goals you are striving toward.

I believe that when we encounter life stressors, whether anticipated or not, we experience a range of reactions. Many of which, we are not told how to deal with, yet are expected to manage. Mental health issues might complicate our ability to manage stressors, thereby worsening symptoms and making it even more difficult to handle both life and one's mental well-being. We sometimes feel as though those around us, despite their well intentions and support, do not quite understand what we are going through. We may feel unable to find our way, feel how we felt, or pursue what we hoped our life to be. I believe asking for help is a crucial part of addressing the difficulties that are holding you back in life. I strongly believe in approaching treatment based on the needs of the individual rather than making individuals conform to a particular treatment approach.
