About My Clients
My clients are individuals who are doubting, questioning, deconstructing, deconverting, and/or recovering from religion. They are people seeking compassionate, evidence-based support to help them heal trauma related to adverse religious experiences. They seek skills and support in self-discovery, self-connection, and self-expression.
My Background and Approach
I know from personal experience how disorienting and difficult it is to question long-held beliefs, leave a faith community, heal religious trauma/shame, and find ones own way outside of religion. Knowing all experiences are unique, I offer curiosity and compassion, seeking to understand the experiences of my clients. I use Internal Family Systems to help clients heal trauma and sexual shame, connect with themselves with compassion, reunite with parts of themselves they rejected to belong in religious institutions/families, reconnect with their body, and learn to love themselves. I am Level 1 & 2 trained in IFS and working on a certification in Religious Trauma Studies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the worth and inclusion of all people. I support the LGBTQ+ community and Black Lives Matter. I am passionate about my own healing. I am a fan of psychedelic-assisted therapy and, while I do not provide it, I can support its integration.
