Jenna Young

I specialize in working with pre-teens and teens (ages 10-19) on various areas such as identity, self-esteem, peer relationships, family conflict, as well as anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. A lot of what I've been seeing with my teen clients is the impact bullying/cyberbullying, stress from school, and social media has on them. We work together on identifying emotions and finding healthier ways of expressing thoughts, feelings, and needs through assertive communication.

I work with clients struggling with grief, whether that be the loss of a loved one and the secondary losses that come with that as well as grief in other forms (loss of a job, loss of a relationship, life transitions, a change in family roles, etc.) I aim to provide an open and comforting space for clients to feel supported as they experience and move through the overwhelming emotions that come with grief.

As a Christian, I love working with clients who are wanting to incorporate their faith and their relationship with God into the life struggles they are currently facing. Whether that be understanding the character of God in the midst of their pain, finding healing from the church or other religious/Christian members, or just wanting to have a richer understanding of God and a deeper relationship with Him.
