In today’s digital age, we are bombarded with information, overstimulated, and overloaded with deadlines, tasks, and deliverables. We have demanding schedules, competing priorities, and a never ending list of to-do’s have made stress and burnout common elements in our lives. Stress has literally become a public health epidemic, since it’s the leading cause of heart disease, depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, and a whole host of other ailments. Control your mind, control your stress!

If you feel like you just don't fit in, or you keep worrying all the time, comparing yourself to others, you may suffer from low self-esteem or self-worth. It's okay! A lot of people feel the same way! You also might have trouble making and sticking to decisions and feel like you always need to have approval from others, or can't say "NO" or are always saying "I'm SORRY!" If you have negative thoughts that are creating negative feelings, it's time to improve your self-worth! You deserve it!

Although people are adaptable, due to the large number of changes with the pandemic (isolation, masks, social distancing, vaccinations etc..) this can push people past their limits! Culturally sensitive therapists provide therapy that is culturally sensitive. They understand that people from different backgrounds have different values, practices, and beliefs, and are sensitive to those differences when working with individuals and families in therapy.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is a modified form of cognitive therapy that incorporates mindfulness practices such as meditation and breathing exercises. Using these tools, MBCT therapists teach clients how to break away from negative thought patterns that can cause a downward spiral into a depressed state so they will be able to fight off depression before it takes hold.
