Have you experienced therapy as a good place to vent your feelings but do you continue to feel stuck on the "how" to move forward? I've heard this from more than just a few clients. In the therapy space we create I'll help you find ways to get past the venting stage and into moving forward. This is not a linear process but I will be with you through every step of the way.
My Background and Approach
I have been working with people who have experienced trauma in all periods of their life. I've also worked in a large university counseling center for 7 years and have unique understanding on how that transition impacts mental health. I believe taking a collaborative approach is essential to create a safe therapeutic environment. The focus of therapy is on your strengths and to build on your resiliency. I come from a trauma-informed, feminist, and strengths-based perspective. I continue to strive to be anti-oppressive in the therapeutic relationship.
