About My Clients
I enjoy working with adult clients struggling to feel connected to their bodies, as well as those that have difficulty managing compulsive exercising and yo-yo dieting. I also have a passion for assisting adults working through career and relational transitions.
My Background and Approach
I graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University of Arizona and received my Master's degree from the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Northwestern University. I have experience working at two nonprofit organizations where I saw individuals, couples, and families on a sliding scale, as well as both an inpatient psychiatric facility and an outpatient eating disorder treatment center. These experiences have informed the holistic and integrative approach I bring into the therapy room, and a recent EMDR training has assisted my ability to effectively treat trauma as well. As someone who has always been interested in both exercise and mental health, my experiences in both the therapeutic and fitness industries also informed the creation of "The Intuitive Movement Masterclass" - an online course intended to support clients in healing their relationship with body and movement (accessible via the Autonomy Therapy website: www.autonomytherapyatx.com).
