About My Clients
The populations I work with are, preteens/teens ages 11 and up both male and female. I also provide individual and couples therapy for adult men and women. My areas of focus are depression, anxiety, grief, stress, career/workplace issues, parenting skills, negative parent/child relationships, and helping heal marital issues
My Background and Approach
My background and approach is solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and Christian therapy. Each of these approaches are an attempt to shift my clients’ ways of thinking. Solution focused therapy is where the client is afforded the chance to brainstorm their own coping mechanisms and take an active part in the therapy/healing process. The cognitive behavior therapy approach is where I train the client on how to retrain their thoughts and look at life from an optimistic lens rather than continuing to focus on the negative. Biblical Counseling incorporates scripture and prayer into each session. I am able to have conversations about Biblical solutions to life’s problems because I am a Licensed Pastoral Counslor.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal belief is that anybody can be healed if they are committed to the process of doing so. I believe as a therapist, I can team up with my clients and coach them into becoming a better version of themselves. Nothing is impossible to achieve with hard work and perseverance.
