About My Clients
Are you a high achiever dealing with depression or anxiety? Does you depression go unseen because you continue to function well and achieve your goals? This can be a lonely place where others do not see your pain and you feel unseen and unable to share it with others. I work with and help people just like you. I have an open practice where all issues can be addressed and all backgrounds can feel comfortable.
My Background and Approach
I have been doing therapy for over 30 years, been an attorney for over 20 years and a psychoanalyst for over 10 years. I am psychoanalytic, psychodynamic in orientation and love the breadth and varied approaches this background gives me to adapt to the needs of each individual. We collaborate to find understanding, acceptance and alternatives for a happier less anxiety ridden life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and their lives then change. Our reactions and belief systems were learned and can therefore be unlearned. Sometimes it takes a lot of work and it can be a struggle to understand, to examine our lives and then to test our new understandings and approaches. I believe we are all capable of this change and the result can be freeing. I have seen this occur over and over again.
