Racing thoughts, flashbacks, nightmares, and constant worry and anxiety are common responses to stressful life events. Depression and anxiety can leave you feeling like you can’t think straight or like you are walking around in a fog; decision making begins to feel impossible and unsafe. Feeling stuck and not knowing how to change is hard. When you lack support or don’t know how to change things, it can feel downright impossible. I work with people who are healing from trauma and insomnia.
My Background and Approach
My approach to counseling combines techniques to explore thoughts and feelings that occur with curiosity rather than judgment. I believe when humans are more aware of their thoughts, they can regulate their own thinking and behavioral patterns for more favorable outcomes and goal achievement. I am dedicated to meeting individuals where they are in facing any number of challenges, including trauma, depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. My therapeutic approach is to provide a warm environment in which I can offer support and practical feedback in an effort to help those I serve through their own unique situations. I have been helping people who have experienced significant trauma recover since my first day as a counselor. I have a wide range of therapeutic tools and do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I use evidence-based treatments and techniques that have repeatedly been proven to work.
