Clinical Psychologist, PhDI enjoy working with individuals who are navigating parenthood, family and career transitions, women’s health issues, attentional challenges, anxiety, and depression.
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. Are you going through a life transition and need support with managing all the changes going on in your life? That might be changes in school, work, family, parenting or relationships. Or even a quarter-life crisis spent navigating new and old relationships. I'm here to support you in processing these changes as well as recognizing your own strengths to draw from during periods of change. I believe that everyone needs someone to support them - and challenge them - to get through these times.

The population I serves includes children twelve and up, couples, and adults. I have experience addressing a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, divorce, loss, financial strain, relationship challenges, difficult life circumstances, and life transitions.
I push partners to connect more deeply with one another, and to understand more about what they need and desire from each other. Clients tell me that my ability to hold space for each of their perspectives and “translate” their experiences to one another helps them overcome the barriers they feel in communication. I am most successful with clients who want to increase their understanding of their situation, who are willing to change and grow, and who are open to being accountable.

When your relationship is suffering, you're suffering. Sometimes, incredibly so. Maybe the person you used to feel so close to now seems more like a distant stranger. Maybe a betrayal has left you outraged and alone. Maybe all the fighting and miscommunication makes you wonder at times what you ever saw in your partner at all. My clients are couples, individuals and families who want to love each other more fully and strengthen their bonds.

In addition to my clinical work with addictions, eating disorders, co-dependency and trauma. It always amazes me the complete turn around clients can do with the tools they already have, they just needed to discover, reorganize or sharpen a few things. Clients who typically seek me out are looking for a therapist who specializes in trauma, perinatal or postpartum issues, women's issues, anxiety or who can help support them in a significant life transition. Anxiety is exhausting and can feel completely overwhelming. I look forward to teaching you new skills that will lead to relief of these symptoms! OCD is an extreme form of anxiety, and there are tools that work including ERP therapy, mindulness and more. In addition, past unresolved traumatic memories are often the root of compulsive/obsessive thinking. EMDR therapy is a way out of this.
