About My Clients
Most of my clients suffer from anxiety and depression due to psychosocial and environmental elements that feel "out of control". Feelings of being stuck in unhealthy cycles that cause challenges in relationships, social settings, and personal growth. People live in fear of the unknown and what change will produce in an already chaotic existence. Change is good! Stepping outside of your comfort zone and feeling uncomfortable brings potential to a better you. Let me guide you through this journey.
My Background and Approach
For more than twenty years, Heather has worked as a behavioral healthcare provider in a wide variety of settings during her professional career – working as a mental health provider, case manager for the Medicaid population, hospital mental health professional, substance abuse and addictions counselor, as well as an executive function / life coach. She has broad expertise treating depression, anxiety, family conflict, relationship problems, and childhood disorders associated with the autism spectrum. Heather also works with individuals who are seeking a faith-based approach to wellness. Her philosophy on self improvement is based on empowering her clients to ask for support and being open to new ways of thinking. In her spare time, Heather enjoys enhancing her primitive survival techniques, hiking, gaming with her kids, and motorcycle riding. She also belongs to the Bikers Against Bullying Club and has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My high level of dedication in helping others has on occasion led people to say, “Heather, you can’t change the world.” In a way, that’s probably true on a global scale. However, I have seen that being kind to others and helping them achieve their fullest potential has led to a healthier and happier sense of self which then gets portrayed externally onto others.
