Elaina Razack
Therapist, M.A.- Mental Health CounselingI specialize in gender and sexuality affirming care for LGBTQIA+ individuals as well as religious and sexual abuse trauma. My background is in adolescent care but I am open to adults as well.
Just like any other group, the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) community faces mental health issues and unique challenges. However, LGBTQ individuals are almost 3 times more likely than others to experience a mental health condition, such as depression or anxiety. Additionally, more than half of individuals who identify as transgender experience depression or anxiety. The LGBTQ community is also at a higher risk for suicide. Young people are even more at risk, as they may experience a lack of support at home and fear, hatred or prejudice in school. If you are a member of the LGBTQ community and are facing mental health challenges, you don’t have to suffer in silence. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s LGBTQ experts and get help today.
I specialize in working with teens and young adults facing complex trauma, religious trauma, identity struggles, isolation, family dynamics, and depression/suicidality. While I can support a wide range of needs, I'm especially passionate about helping those who feel most alone, providing a sense of safety and belonging both within themselves and in their relationships with others.

At Resilience Lab my clients are people navigating life transitions, learning to love their bodies, or questioning their gender identity and/or sexual orientation. Our time together might look like healing trauma, reconnecting with family, or using mindfulness exercises to create more bodily awareness. Through this process, I spend time with clients to discover the values and pieces of their identity making them who they are.

I help anxious and overwhelmed individuals navigate life stress, flourish in life transitions, and heal from painful experiences. You may be a young adult navigating a new life phase, you may be experiencing grief and loss, or you may be working through trauma. You may simply be looking to shift habits that are negatively affecting your life. All of these needs can be challenging to face alone, which is why working together in the context of a therapeutic alliance can be so helpful.

I work with individuals, couples, and adult families representing various communities and relational styles. My clients tend to be those who are committed to growth and demonstrate great courage in tolerating vulnerability, self-reflection, and honesty during their therapeutic process. As there is no one size fits all in psychotherapy, each experience is tailored to the specific needs and desired outcomes of the people I work with. I value the folks I work with and support their growth.

I help clients navigate issues related to mood and anxiety disorders, complex trauma and PTSD, and other major life stressors. I use an anti-oppressive lens and pay close attention to the way cultural and institutional factors impact your health. I believe that therapy is one part of a process toward connection and a sense of belonging with others.

You need therapy that will teach you concrete skills to help improve your life right now, not aimless therapy that only makes you feel better for the day. My typical clients are professionals who have come to realize that negative thoughts are keeping them from achieving their full potential at work and/or in their personal lives. Many of my current clients had tried therapy prior to seeing me and did not find it helpful as they did not get concrete skills to deal with distress.
Online Therapy
My clients are motivated to learn about themselves and discover the things that interfere with their living their best life possible. Clients come to me with addiction issues and may be struggling with ambivalence towards changing, or are motivated to give up self-destructive patterns of behavior. Clients might be anywhere along the path towards coming out and stepping fully into their sexual identity.

Most folks begin therapy with me because they feel stuck in unhelpful patterns of communicating, they struggle to feel understood or supported in their relationship, and they want to navigate conflict and challenging emotions with greater ease. I support queer, gender expansive, neurodiverse, and polyamorous and non-monogamous couples, polycules and other relationship structures. I also specialize in working with stepparents and parents who are navigating a non-traditional family structure.

I support individuals and couples using an eclectic model, which includes EMDR for anxiety, depression and trauma-related disorders. I have a bit of a specialty in working with polyamorous/consensually nonmonogamous individuals and couples. I am experienced with ADHD, chronic illness, LGBTQIA+ issues, and perinatal emotional concerns. I also offer EMDR Intensives, so that we may get the work done in fewer sessions! I now offer walk-and-talk in-person therapy in the Central MA/MetroWest area.
