Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Trauma, and Oppression run rampant through out society. Sometimes these things make it so that we can not be as present as we would like to be in our relationships, work, and our lives. These feelings can make it really hard to feel present. I can support you with tools and techniques so that you can be your fully expressed self in all areas of your life.

My clients come from many different walks of life, ranging in age from their 70s to their 20s. Many are monogamous. Many are polyamorous or in open relationships. Some identify as kinky and some have not heard of this term. Many of my clients want to improve their relationships or their sex lives. I also work with a wide range of "more conventional issues," such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and existential concerns. About half of my clients are LGBTQQIA.
I create a space for young people to grow into the best versions of themselves and ask for help when they need it. Many of my clients are new to therapy and may feel hesitant about seeking care, but throughout our work together see the positive experiences it can open up.
[I am a Resilience Lab therapist.] Throughout counseling I help clients work on coping skills, as well as increasing self awareness, intention, boundaries and self care. I try and help clients repair thinking errors that disable us from evolving, so we can untie the strings from hurtful experiences and feel free again!
Have you ever thought there was a more authentic version of yourself? One that is just under the surface, but is held back by the things that have happened to you? Maybe you’ve glimpsed this version of yourself in the eyes of someone who truly loves you, who really “gets” you, like a grandparent, a teacher, or a friend. Spoiler alert: This can be you all of the time! I work with adults who feel stuck in their lives, or like they’re not living in their truth.
At Resilience Lab many of my clients are searching for their place in the world and struggling with big and small questions alike. They might be exploring themselves or they might be having trouble coping with anxiety or handling relationship issues. My belief is that all questions- large and small- are worth exploring thoughtfully. My goal is to help clients gain a deeper sense of insight and purpose while doing so.

I accompany you on your journey to harness your creativity, power, and motivation. I will be with you in your pain and your joy. I prefer swimming in the deep waters: exploring the bigger questions around the meaning of life and death, how to find and maintain fulfilling relationships, how to thrive in our precious, finite time here.
Finding a therapist who's comfortable and experienced with your identity is important. At my core, I believe making therapy a safe and effective space for those who have marginalized identities is key to being a therapist. If you've ever felt uncomfortable going to therapy because of any identity, I hope to make this a safe experience for you! My specialities include sex positivity, DBT, MBT, chronic illness and emotion regulation.
You're trying your hardest to feel connected to your loved one(s) but instead you end up feeling the opposite. You're tired of overthinking and missing the mark. You might be experiencing the "what ifs" as I call them: "What if my partner is unable to meet my needs? Maybe they don't care to...What if breaking up is the best thing? Do they even love me?" I want you to wake up excited to spend the day with your partner...and actually enjoy the day together! Without any casual conversations turn
Do you often feel minimized and not heard? Do you put your own needs on the back burner? Are you still struggling with things you "should have gotten over by now"? Do you find yourself feeling "stuck", or making the same mistake over and over? I can help. In our work together, I can offer support and reflection, as we work together to break old patterns and build new ways to live. You have the power to navigate your life, and we are endlessly capable of growth and change.

Some of the common client presentation include depression, anxiety, low self-esteem/confidence, life transition issues, relationship difficulties, and stress. Some of my most rewarding and passionate work is with individuals struggling with relationship issues. Navigating (online) dating and/or relationship dynamics can be intimidating. I enjoy helping individuals navigating the relationship dynamic effectively while staying true to themselves.
Challenging the roles society has placed on us can be really difficult, but when we break through these barriers to create our own identities, life can feel so meaningful. My passion is working with individuals and couples, especially people of colour, men, and the LGBTQ community, to re-define themselves into who they truly want to be. By helping individuals be their truest selves in relationships, I also help couples create a more fulfilling partnership.
I would be honored to work with anyone who is unafraid to learn and grow, even when it feels terrifying or impossible. Currently, I offer my clients Telehealth services, a sliding fee scale for affordability, and the convenience of evening and weekend appointments. I have experience treating co-occurring disorders, anxiety/depression, substance abuse, mood/personality disorders, trauma/PTSD, and family/relationship issues.
