My clients would describe me as positive, energetic, and enthusiastic when working with them. I love what I do and the clients I've met along the way.

Do you feel you are stuck? Struggling to find enjoyment in life, work, and love? Do you feel disconnected with your partner, or lack energy and desire to seek and maintain a relationship? Do you find yourself feeling negative, angry, or sad? Are you hiding your true self out of fear of what others will think? Do you find yourself turning to alcohol or drugs to calm your brain down? Are you entering the stage of life where the kids are leaving, or dealing with aging parents? I can help you!
You feel like you are doing everything wrong as a parent. You are in constant battles with your child. You’ve been through seven therapists who said they were “trauma-informed” but bailed at the first sign of trouble. You want to be a good parent. You want to be able to give your child what they need. You want to stop the screaming for the love of all things holy. You want to feel capable, strong, and have some peace (or at least an hour of quiet).
My ideal client values progress, real indicators of healing day by day, collaboration, is confident about their experience and is ready for a nonjudgmental ear. I see people who have anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, confusion, relational difficulty, parents who need support with their children, couples, individuals, families and teens.
Do you have a narcissistic parent or partner? Are you always trying to please them, but never quite feeling good enough? Do you feel easily overwhelmed, sensitive, or the need to be perfect? If so, you're not alone. I specialize in narcissistic abuse recovery, highly sensitive people, and perfectionism/overthinking. Navigating these types of relationships can be difficult, but with self-compassion, healthy boundaries, and support, you can reclaim your self-worth and find healing.
I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with trauma, boundaries, anxiety, relationship issues, & life transitions. Many of my clients identify as people-pleasers or express difficulty putting themselves first. Some feel they have lost themselves in their work or relations, or find themselves being their own worst critic. Together, we explore the past experiences, emotions, and thought patterns that may be getting in the way of living more authentically &aligned with their values.
Being a black man here in America already comes with its own personal struggles, as I am sure any ethnicity does. However, a lot of us grew up not knowing how to effectively love each other, we were taught to go to school and become successful, and to never depend on anyone. However, we were not taught how to love one another, because our parents weren't taught how to love. So, we carry that same brokenness with us into our relationships, especially us men.
I begin the process with a 30-minute virtual consult to see if I would be a good fit as your counselor. Studies suggest that the biggest indicator of success early in treatment is a great personality match between therapist and client. I will spend time getting details about your case, and you get to decide if I’m the right clinician for you.
Thoughts like "I'm not feeling like myself," might feel central to the story of what brings many of my clients therapy. Things might look 'fine' to the outsider, but internally, the story looks different. My client is often the professional navigating various life roles, looking to build insight into patterns of struggle and enhance skills of support. My specialty areas are anxiety (including OCD), struggles with perfectionism, life transitions and stressors, and family of origin work.
I love working with passionate people who are ready to take their life up a notch. My ideal clients have an inkling in their heart of where they want to be, but may feel stuck where they are. Maybe they are in a dead end job or relationship right now, and feel like they have to lose weight or stop drinking before they can participate in life again. Maybe they are getting a spiritual upgrade through tremendous loss or despair. Maybe they just need someone to talk to that really cares.
Clients come to me to overcome symptoms of depression and anxiety, manage stress, improve confidence and self-esteem, and move through grief and other major life changes. I have extensive experience with substance use disorder treatment, intimate partner violence and trauma recovery, sexual health and gender dysphoria/transitioning. I work closely with the LGBTQ+ and HIV communities.
Teens with strong emotions, fear and anxiety, struggling to understand what is happening inside or find the words to express their needs. Teens who love their families deeply but don't always feel connected, supported or understood. Teens and adults experiencing social anxiety. Adults experiencing anxiety, excessive worry and/or difficulty feeling relaxed. Adults with a history of trauma, difficult childhoods, and/or a migration/immigration story.
As a proud ally and member of the queer community, I specialize in therapy for diverse individuals and relationships. Whether you're queer, transgender, non-binary, or exploring open, non-monogamous, or sex-positive/kink dynamics, my practice is a safe, affirming space. I'm dedicated to supporting clients from all backgrounds on their unique journeys toward healing and self-discovery.
I love working with clients who are looking to be affirmed and accepted. I am a sex positive, kink and polyamory friendly therapist with a humanistic lens, who believes that you are the expert on your own experience and health. I enjoy given clients a safe space to work through past experiences, identity conflicts, sexuality confusion, communication conflicts with loved ones, racial injustice experiences, and challenging toxic masculinity ideology.
I work primarily with individuals and adolescents struggling with anxiety, self esteem, depression, LGBTQ+issues, highly sensitive people and empaths. I also work with couples and families as I believe that in order to best understand a client, I must also understand the family and system that they come from. I particularly love working with adolescents because I know first hand how tough those years can be.
I am a therapist that specializes in suicidal ideation and depression. My clients come to me feeling hopeless, helpless, and feeling like there is no reason to live. They may feel like some days they feel lack of motivation to do anything that they would usually have pleasure and interest in doing.
