Navigating these types of relationships can be difficult, but with self-compassion, healthy boundaries, and support, you can reclaim your self-worth and find healing.
My Background and Approach
I became a therapist because I wanted to help people navigate some of the challenges I experienced and witnessed growing up. I know what it’s like to grow up in a tense family environment with a narcissistic parent and how high expectations and control can lead to things like stress, anxiety, perfectionism, people pleasing, and sensitivity to criticism. It’s overwhelming and exhausting. I want to help people learn how to change these dynamics to live a happier, more fulfilling life. Together, we’ll work through difficult feelings, learn how to set healthy expectations and boundaries, prioritize your needs, build positive supports, and practice self-acceptance and compassion.
