About My Clients
I work primarily with queer Black women who want to focus on anxiety, depression, and how colonization has impacted their life. My work focuses on pleasure, sensuality/sexuality, racial and biracial identities, intuition and body energy, fashion, radical acceptance, and humor.
My Background and Approach
I combine lived experience with clinical knowledge. I use feminist and narrative therapies and utilize ancestral practices in my work to create an authentic space for my clients to unload and simply be themselves! I like to explore how culture plays a part in my client's lives and relationships with an emphasis on empowerment. My passion is sex therapy and exploring what sex, sexuality, and sensuality means for my clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
-I am a Biracial (Black and Puerto Rican), queer, cisgender woman -I was born and raised in Texas, therefore I understand what it means to have certain identities in spaces that aren’t accepting of you while balancing the love for a culture/place/time that has contributed to who you are -Fashion is my SHIT!! Nothing beats putting on an outfit you feel affirmed in -Humor and laughter are integral parts of my life, and I bring that into session -I’ve had locs for a year and I believe hair tells a story and, in some cases, holds energy -I am a strong believer in intuition and energy, and leaning on these two concepts to build autonomy -I love reading and imagining the characters as black or people of color -Favorite genre of music: woman rappers -Dancing and twerking in the mirror are part of my pre-session/pre-going out routine (let’s find out what your routine is!) -I am an introvert that is masquerading as an extrovert -You can find me out in nature or a local bookstore
