About My Clients
I work with everyone, centering the lived experiences of BIPOC community members who are facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, grief, stress and overwhelm, relationships, transitions, and/or intersectional identity including LGBTIA2S+ and disability. I am currently accepting new clients, including teens, young adults, and adults.
My Background and Approach
With an understanding of the interconnection of mind, body, and spirit wellness, I use an integrative approach to therapy informed by interpersonal, strength-based, person-centered and multicultural perspectives. Originally from South Florida, I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minors in Neuroscience and Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master of Social Work degree specializing in interpersonal practice in integrated health, mental health, and substance abuse from the University of Michigan. I received an Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy Certificate Program from The Embody Lab.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a social worker, I work from an understanding of oppressive systems that perpetuate harm. My training in integrative somatic trauma therapy influences my work through the use of connecting individuals to body-based healing methods that best match their needs, goals, and life experiences.
