About My Clients
At Resilience Lab I specialize in helping people who are having trouble coping with the ups and downs of their emotions. Anyone with anxiety, body image issues, grief and loss, trauma, or emotional regulation issues is a match for my practice. As an experienced Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) therapist, I can help you navigate intense emotions and develop coping skills.
My Background and Approach
I am a patient, non-judgmental and accepting listener, and my number one priority is creating a safe space for you. The safer you feel, the more we can learn to trust each other- and the further we can go together on the journey toward the life you want. I use a strengths-based approach to help you find peace - that means I’ll always be looking for things you’re doing right, not things you’re doing wrong. I will help you find your own strength and cultivate resilience through the ups and downs of life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m a radical feminist. Born and raised in China, I saw countless instances where women were disrespected and looked down upon. In the older generations' eyes, women are only expected to marry a decent guy and have kids. Compared to men, women have fewer work opportunities and access to care, which is why I am so passionate about changing it. I am also passionate about racial equity. The discrimination I have experienced as a racial minority in the US is not pleasant. There are people being bullied, raped, and even killed because of their race. I know I can't change the world, but at least I can help those who are suffering from such injustices.
