About My Clients
Many of my clients identify as LGBTQ+. Some are looking to talk about their sexuality or gender, but most just want a comfortable place where they don't need to explain their identity. I also work with trauma, addictions, and recovery.
My Background and Approach
I am an experienced therapist and licensed mental health counselor who works with adults from many backgrounds, cultures, sexual orientations, and gender identities. I use a supportive and active approach drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic, Insight-oriented Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I’ll be an unbiased supporter and will tailor sessions to your individual needs and preferences. I’ve worked in colleges, day treatment, community mental health, and drug treatment settings. I have a B.A. in English and French from Saint Michael’s College in VT, and a Master of Education and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Counseling from Boston University.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of the LGBTQ community, I strive to be inclusive of all people no matter your background or beliefs. When not at work, I am usually knitting, in my yard, or with my cats.
