Emily Goldman

I provide support to individuals in managing and reducing symptoms of anxiety, including excessive worry, rumination, panic symptoms, as well as OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). I utilize a psychodynamic approach with components of CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and mindfulness.

I provide support to individuals in managing and overcoming symptoms of depression through psychodynamic (talk therapy) with components of CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy).

I provide supports to children of all ages. I assist parents in learning to manage personal and relationship stress, and to better address children's needs and behavioral challenges. I am trained in the SPACE Model (Supporting Parents with Anxious Childhood Emotions), a parent-focused training assisting individuals in increasing support and reducing unhealthy accommodations in order to manage anxiety within the home.

I have extensive training in treating those impacted by trauma/PTSD including a Certificate in Global Mental Health and Trauma from Massachusetts General Hospitall/Harvard University.

My orientation is largely Psychodynamic in nature, which first and foremost focuses on the relationship between the therapist and client. I believe in exploring the link between our current stressors and patterns of behavior, and earlier experiences, when comfortable for the client.
