About My Clients
Have you been feeling unable to fully participate in life the way you want to? Taking that first step to start your own therapeutic journey can be a challenging one, and it's my job to provide an empathetic, nonjudgmental space for you to work towards your goals and build a life that you want to live. Through the use of tools based in mindfulness, I aim to help you manage life stressors, work on relationship issues, identify your goals and values, and feel fulfilled in life.
My Background and Approach
I work with adults, adolescents and families. I have been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, helping clients manage difficult emotions, urges and impulses, and learn new coping mechanisms. My experience is in therapies that have been proven by science to be effective, such as DBT, ACT, E/RP for OCD, Motivational Interviewing and EMDR for trauma. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I firmly believe in causes for social justice and fighting inequity. Systemic oppression is a major life stressor that affects our physical and mental health, and I firmly believe in validating and valuing each of my clients' experiences and identities in doing our work together.
