About My Clients
**not currently taking new clients (as of 4/5)** As an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with a School Psychologist background, I serve a broad range of clients dealing with the following: behavioral issues, school issues, developmental disabilities, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, stress, alcohol abuse, codependency, sexual abuse, trauma/PTSD, and life transitions. Clients come to therapy to lessen suffering, reduce symptoms, and increase their ability to cope with life's stressors.
My Background and Approach
A former teacher, I merged my passion for teaching with my deep interest in psychology and earned a master’s degree in School Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. I also completed an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology with an embedded PPS Credential and a specialization in Clinical and Educationally Related Mental Health Counseling. I am committed to helping clients expand their awareness using an eclectic therapeutic framework, which is the opposite of a one-size-fits-all approach because therapy should be individualized to meet each client's specific needs. Seeing from a humanistic and person-centered lens, I will always aim to find a balance of nurturance and challenge, in order to foster resilience and assist with the healing process.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Each person deserves hope that moves from this abstract idea into something concrete and actionable. I ultimately believe that hope CAN be actionable and meaningful change can occur when you are given access to valuable resources such as a safe and authentic space to be heard, to learn, and to heal. It is my privilege to be able to walk alongside clients on this journey of looking inward and addressing patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior.
