About My Clients
Are you a new mom who feels anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, worried, or like a failure? Are you your own worst critic? Why are we so hard on ourselves and how can we stop? If you are a mom with anxiety, OCD, panic, or depression, you're not alone and life doesn't have to be this way. Using science supported therapy techniques, I want to help you overcome these challenges and connect deeply to what matters most to you in life. Start here, with a compassionate judgement free zone.
My Background and Approach
My goal is to first help you feel like you're in the right place, you're heard, and understood. I will walk along side you, starting wherever you are at. You can bring me your worst fears and your scariest thoughts. I can handle them. Therapy is a place where you can learn how to feel safe and at home within yourself. Using elements of compassion, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and CBT, I hope you develop the tools to live the life in front of you, no matter how difficult or scary it may seem at times.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that most of us are doing the best that we know how given the tools and skills that we have. It's easy to get stuck. I am a strong believer in the power of self-compassion, kindness, and acceptance. Our brains are often wired to default to the negative, but we can learn not to take these thoughts so seriously and instead put our energy into supporting ourselves, the way we would someone we love. Mom guilt is real, and I'm on a mission to end it. When we work on developing specific tools in therapy, it's important to me to help you understand the science behind why these specific interventions work. I don't get "too science-y" but I also want my clients to feel like the effort they are making is for a specific reason. Like, why exposure therapy helps so much with panic or OCD.
