About My Clients
It has been my passion to work with those who are struggling with emotional and behavioral regulation. I have specialized in working with youth and adults suffering from trauma to help them rebuild their life stories. This can be a scary thing, and we can feel judged when trying to find help. I specialized in working with those who worry about being judged and are looking for a safe space to work through life's obstacles.
My Background and Approach
My preferred modality with children is play therapy, Sandtray, and bibliotherapy. With adolescents and adults, I use a combination of EMDR, DBT, CBT, Sand Tray, and Person-Centered Therapy. The goal in these modalities is to use the power of interpersonal relationships to help build internal regulation and an understanding of how to cope in the world.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We are all looking to have the best experience possible in life. It is my belief that a satisfying life consists of fulfilling four dimensions of life: Health, Enlightenment, Love, and Prosperity. When we struggle in one of these aspects of life, we tend to experience emotionally unstable, causing to adapt to unhealthy and unhelpful coping strategies that may work in the moment. We may feel that we have messed up our lives and we will never be able to get back on track; but your story is not over. You can always change the trajectory of your story. If you are looking for help in improving your life story, I would like to help you in that discovery. Together, we will discover the building blocks of Health, Enlightenment, Love, and Prosperity (HELP) in your life.
