As a holistic psychiatric provider, I will work with you to create a treatment plan that improves not just your mental health, but physical health and lifestyle as well. My Background and Approach
From a young age, I had a strong desire to help others. I began my career in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant with the goal of eventually becoming a Naturopathic Physician. However as I advanced through my education, I realized that the role of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner was much more in line with my belief in the importance of both natural and pharmacologic interventions in sustainable mental health treatment. I obtained my PMHNP degree in 2020 and I am currently pursuing fellowship opportunities in integrative psychiatry to complement my allopathic medication management education.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a practitioner I believe firmly in a collaborative approach to treatment. Prior to your appointment you will receive an invitation to register for your patient portal, which will allow you to complete all intake forms and questionnaires. Based upon your responses, your intake evaluation will focus on your primary symptom concerns. We will also spend time reviewing your previous history, your current lifestyle and identify both long- and short-term treatment goals for our time together. Treatment plans are customized to your condition and your preferences. While I may encourage you to challenge your previous thoughts and behaviors, you will always be in control of your treatment plan.
