About My Clients
I specialized in working with individuals with anxiety, suffering from depression, self-esteem issues, burnout, work stress, exploring cultural identity, life transitions, grief, chronic health concerns, or illness.
My Background and Approach
As a child of West Indian parents and as a Black woman, I have a unique cultural and clinical view of the world which I think can aid and assist clients trying to navigate life's difficulties. As a client-centered therapist, I will work with you to develop techniques and strategies to cope and deal with what's on your mind. This includes the utilization of evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral, and person-centered therapies along with the incorporation of mindfulness and grounding techniques. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Change is a hard thing to do. We learn inherent patterns and ways to cope and navigate the world which can be unhealthy and persist in our everyday lives. Undergoing this process is difficult, I went through my own personal therapy to affect change and it changed my life for the better. I used to struggle with the past and shame but presently it no longer has that power over me. I would like to extend that same to you to help empower you and strive. A little about me, I have a good sense of humor, love to be outside in nice weather, help others in the community by volunteering with food pantries, and a good concert every now and again.
