About My Clients
I work best with busy professionals who feel overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, depressed, and "over it." If it's hard to find a healthy work/life balance and you notice your relationships are suffering, you may be losing hope. You may have gone through childhood trauma that was never treated, which can resurface under extreme pressure. All of these problems may lead you to crave a sign that things will get better. You just want to feel like yourself again.
My Background and Approach
I use a different techniques for each client because I believe a unique person deserves unique treatment. My counseling approach usually involves reversing unhealthy thought processing while developing more useful problem solving strategies. I work with clients on emotional regulation, stress management, and interpersonal skills to improve quality of life. I believe in building a therapeutic and trusting relationship while also providing concrete tools that can be used in daily life. You should be able to walk away from counseling with new techniques and strategies for creating a happy life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have an accepting personality and nature. I believe in validating your experiences because I know you're doing the best you can with the tools you have. In your past, you did the best you could with the tools you had at the time. There is no judgement from me, and I'm definitely not perfect. A little about me personally: I actively support Black Lives Matter and I'm a member of the LGBTQ community. In short, I value acceptance, change, and progressive thinking.
