About My Clients
I specialize in using CBT, DBT, IPT, and exposure therapy to treat adolescents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, emotion dysregulation, impulsivity, self-harm behaviors, and life transitional challenges.
My Background and Approach
My focus is on implementing treatments grounded in research and science using a goal focused, strength-based and solution-oriented approach. I am certified in CBT and a Diplomate with the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies as well as certified in Interpersonal Psychotherapy with the IPT Institute. I also have extensive training and experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and exposure therapy. I have worked and trained in diverse settings including community mental health, group practices, Intensive Outpatient Programs, school, and the Cedars-Sinai Psychiatry Department. I attend trainings on a regular basis to strengthen and expand my treatment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an immigrant whose parents struggled with acclimating to a new country I understand the unique challenges faced by many marginalized groups. I incorporate culturally responsive treatment with everyone I meet and collaboratively incorporate this into my treatment approach. I have completed numerous trainings in cultural responsive treatment including attending the Asian American and Latino Mental Health Conferences. I was also member of the DEI committee at a group practice I worked at.
