About My Clients
I believe the most important part of therapy is having a person you can trust who makes you feel supported and accepted. During and after the initial session, I focus on developing the therapeutic relationship and providing empathy, support and validation. I enjoy working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, alcohol and substance abuse, stress, life transitions, and the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as many other concerns.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and have four years of experience in agency and private practice settings. I use a collaborative approach to therapy which incorporates different techniques based on the needs of each person. I help clients learn coping skills, identify and challenge their negative thought patterns, learn skills to manage difficult emotions, improve their self-confidence and self-esteem, improve their relationships with themselves and others, and navigate and adapt to life changes. I incorporate CBT, DBT, strengths based, solution focused, and mindfulness based techniques. I offer sessions for adults 18+ both in person and online.
