About My Clients
Most of my experience is with the LGBTQIA+ community, trauma work, anxiety /depression, and in facilitating positive change in thought patterns and in forming healthier habits. I also work with people who are looking to cultivate healthy relationships, and live their most genuine and authentic life. Whether you're looking for tools and skills, seeking support with achieving personal goals, or simply looking for a safe and supportive space and an affirming and friendly therapist, I can help.
My Background and Approach
We will work together to help you gain greater insight into yourself and your experiences as well as tools and skills to help you manage and get through challenging situations. Using both my expertise in several modalities of psychotherapy and your expertise on yourself, your feelings and your experiences we will collaborate to get you to your full potential and maximize your life satisfaction. Our work will focus on building a trusting , respectful and safe therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to express yourself fully and feel confident in being able to set and achieve any and all goals. We may also explore core beliefs and personal narratives that may be barriers to living your most authentic life as well as capitalize on the strengths you already have to clear those barriers! I also offer EMDR treatment, GAS letters, and immigration evaluations. Furthermore I take a nonjudgmental and supportive stance to assist you in challenging yourself to make positive change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The world we live in can be at times be confusing and challenging and at times be invalidating and non-affirming. We are given narratives and messages about how we need to function and present on a regular basis. I believe people get stuck in life-roles that they often are not okay with but may not know how to separate themselves from. There is no one size fits all way to be a person and everyone's needs are unique to them. It's important to have a space where you can be vulnerable and also feel able to express yourself authentically. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect, warmth and kindness. If something is important to you, then it is important. I am here to help guide you along your path, but it is ultimately up to you to choose your destination.
