About My Clients
My clients are from ages 13 -80. I provide treatment for conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, substance use problems and others. I build a therapeutic alliance with my clients and ensure that that feel heard and understood, thereby motivating and empowering them. Together we develop a sustainable treatment plan that leads to their success. My clients receive evidence based empathetic treatment to help them over come their mental health struggles.
My Background and Approach
I have been a mental health care provider for 5 years and a clinician in health care for 15 years. I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. I use cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and supportive therapy coupled with medication to help my patients attain balance over their mental health struggles. I specialize in treating conditions like bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder, substance use disorder, ADHD , depressions and others. I use evidence based treatment modalities with an empathetic approach to treatment. My goal is to see my clients functioning at their highest optimal level and not being hindered by their mental health struggles.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life can be very challenging sometimes, but with the right tools and mindset a good balance can be achieved and maintained so one is not buried in life's challenges. We don't choose what happens to us or our circumstances, but we have the option to determine how the outcome is. I believe gradual steps towards stability with consistency will help one thrive in spite of challenging circumstances.
