About My Clients

Relationship are hard. There are times when everything you do ends up in a fight. Or maybe you avoid each other so you won't get into an argument. Even in marriage, you can feel like you are all alone. Everything just feels out of sync. Or maybe you are an adolescent or individual experiencing anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem. School or work just isn't all that fulfilling, or the stress just feels unbearable. It doesn't have to be this way. Things can change. I can help you.

My Background and Approach

Finding the right therapist can be challenging. It almost always comes down to relationship - whether this person “gets me.” My goal is to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that allows for the you to be seen and known. And with over 18 years of experience working with teenagers, young adults, and parents, I have honed an ability to have positive interactions with individuals, couples, and families in need of assistance. With an education and training in how systems impact individuals, couples, and families, and as a certified Level II Restoration Therapist, I use an integrative approach that includes Emotionally-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness. My process includes providing tools so that empower clients to change painful systems or cycles that they are participating in.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

It is my belief that the world benefits from people who are able to function with a great sense of contentment, wholeness, and self-efficacy - and that happy and healthy relationships with self and the significant persons in our lives help us reach that state of being. I help people feel empowered to tackle their concerns of relational and marital conflict, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem by helping them develop the skills needed for emotional self-regulation. I graduated from George Fox University with an MA in Marriage, Couples & Family Counseling and received an MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary, to go along with over 18 years of experience working with adolescents, college, and young, career-minded adults. During my spare time you can find me playing with my family, watching baseball, hiking, reading, playing guitar, and trying to talk people out of running for recreation (it just looks so painful).
