My Background and Approach
Jenna is a licensed mental health counselor in New York, gaining her degree in counseling from Fordham University. She believes that the client-counselor relationship is the most important catalyst for change in the therapeutic experience and she tailors the work based on the clients’ objectives. The aim is to provide a safe environment in which collaboration causes growth, where the client feels comfortable not only opening up but being challenged to better themselves in many ways. Jenna has experience working as a clinical counselor in a college setting, working with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder and a variety of other issues. Jenna works from a holistic standpoint and implements meditation, mindfulness and DBT techniques into her routine with clients. She has an eclectic approach when it comes to therapy and works to find the most successful strategy based on the clients unique set of plans, goals and experiences.
