About My Clients
My clients are emerging adults who are driven and self-aware. They often identify as the “golden child,” or the “responsible one.” They often struggle with people-pleasing, and feelings of not being good enough. They have trouble saying “no” and sticking with the boundaries they've set for themselves, leading them to feel burnt out and frustrated. A few things clients say after a session with me are: I feel seen, I am clearer about what I want to do, and I feel more connected with myself.
My Background and Approach
I work with individual adults both in-person and online. My approach is culturally and LGBTQIA+ affirming and inclusive. I believe therapy should be collaborative and highly tailored to the individual. I approach my clients as holistic human beings who have recognized things just aren’t working. In my work with clients, we explore how stress and trauma impact them somatically, spiritually, cognitively, and emotionally. I hold an attachment-based framework and use trauma-focused modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) as well as solution-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients be the most whole and healthy versions of themselves. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a recovering perfectionist and a firm believer in the importance of balance. My clients describe me as warm, calm, and patient. I understand it might be difficult for a person of color to see a white therapist so I don’t pretend to be color-blind and am actively addressing issues of privilege and intersectionality.
