About My Clients
Being human is hard, especially being a tiny human in a world that has become immediate and absolute, uncertain and disruptive, and comes with many distractions. Whether your child suffers from trauma or is struggling with the brave and simple act of being human, I can help deal with their day-to-day struggles. Therapy sessions can focus on helping navigate daily obstacles, developing positive coping methods, as well as boosting self-esteem, confidence, and working towards an optimistic future.
My Background and Approach
I have over seven years of experience working with children, adolescents and families in a variety of settings. For the past four years, I gained experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum, tailoring the science of Applied Behavior Analysis to each client with goals of independence, enhanced social skills, and overall life satisfaction. I am passionate about preparing my clients for situations both inside of the home and in their daily lives. When working with children and adolescents, I tend to use an action-based, values-driven approach with acceptance and mindfulness strategies to increase psychological flexibility, identify helpful and unhelpful behaviors and improve self-esteem so they can live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling to them. I am flexible with scheduling and do my best to accommodate appointments to meet the needs of children and their caregivers with busy lifestyles. I also provide therapy to family members who may need support.
