About My Clients

I like working with clients who have reason to explore questions of who they are, including neurodivergent (autistic and ADHDers) and LGBTQIA+. Many people wonder why they seem so different from what's expected of them. They may feel alienated from their bodies or their own life experiences. Or, like any human, they may be transitioning into or out of a new or stressful phase of life. Together we would explore unmasking, identity, stress, anxiety, and build onto what's already working.

My Background and Approach

My approach is client-centered, and my strengths include radical acceptance, and helping clients (re)learn to listen to their own instincts. My clients are aware of their unrealistic daily demands and are, in many cases, reaching burnout. They often have not been allowed to trust their own bodily experiences. I take a somatic approach to stress and trauma, bringing gentle awareness, self-compassion, and tangible strategies for comprehension and healing. Clients learn to practice emotional, thought, and somatic awareness. My experiential, strengths-based approach may incorporate art, music, mindfulness, or movement. Together, we create a toolbox of strategies for handling stress, shame, and exploring a more aligned sense of self and life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a neurodivergent person who is still on my own journey, I believe everyone has their own path and their own knapsack of life-stuff to carry while they walk it. Sometimes it helps to have someone to walk with and sort through what to keep, what to leave behind. I believe that at their deepest core, people know who they are, and what they need, to move themselves toward greater wellbeing. The body knows, too, sometimes better than the brain. I believe through practice, that clients can reacquaint the brain and body to decrease stress and anxiety, bringing about greater wellbeing.
