About My Clients
Perhaps you are grieving the traumatic loss of a loved one and it feels impossible to go about normal life, or maybe you’re experiencing anxiety that’s leaving you feeling insecure and unsatisfied in relationships. If you are exploring your gender identity or have begun transition, you may be feeling pressure to live up to expectations of how to look and act, all while navigating your own emotional journey that comes with the process.
My Background and Approach
I have been working in mental health since 2015. A deep personal loss led me to become a Certified Grief Counselor in 2020. I am also active with WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health). I help people experiencing anxiety, depression, and grief learn to use their own inherent strengths to come to a place of renewed peace and acceptance in life. In a world that is not always accepting of differences and change, I create a compassionate and judgment-free space that promotes healing and empowerment. I know that you are the expert in your own experience. My role is to help guide you in identifying the changes you want for yourself — the ones that align to who you truly are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every one of us was born with inherent value and worth, though I know it sometimes doesn't feel that way. I believe that Black Lives Matter, that everyone has a right to be who they are and love who they love. I am an active supporter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the National Association of Social Workers, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, the American Academy of Grief Counseling, and the Association for Death Education and Counseling.
