About My Clients
Hello, my name is Sose. As a therapist, I’m passionate about helping adult women of immigrant parents who struggle with finding a balance between their personal identities and familial expectations. The majority of my practice focuses on helping my clients be true to themselves and manage healthy family dynamics while working through feelings of guilt and shame, loneliness and isolation, cultural dissonance, existential dread and anxiety, and co-dependent family dynamics.
My Background and Approach
I work from a multicultural perspective and help you to acknowledge and integrate the parts of yourself that make up your intersecting identities to feel more secure in yourself and your chosen communities. I aim to offer you peace of mind by acting as your guide and mentor, helping you navigate the multilayered complexities of your identity, examining the world in which you occupy space, and exploring how you can live harmoniously with others. I collaborate with you to identify and break down your unhelpful thought patterns and address negative self-talk or self-beliefs that hinder your progress. My goal is to help you lead an empowered life, free of anything that makes you feel "left behind," so that you can experience harmony within yourself and with others.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand that therapy can be a daunting experience, but with me, you can expect a smooth and conversational session. I will provide you with a warm and safe space where you can be your true self while we work on your progress together. I am always approachable and flexible with scheduling, and I am here to listen to your story. My main goal is to create a relaxing atmosphere where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and emotions with me. I am committed to working with you towards your healing and progress, and I will do my best to make you feel supported every step of the way.
