My Background and Approach
I have 50 years of experience helping people as a psychologist. During this time I have had the privilege of learning from my mentors, teachers and supervisors. My most helpful learning experiences have been by listening with respect to the stories of my many clients. Psychotherapy is a partnership forged in a safe and confidential setting by two people for the benefit of one - the client. In therapy people often discover that they are more resilient than they first thought. Working on what is revealed in therapy between sessions is where the real work lies. Patients who work hard become powerful agents of their own change.
