My Background and Approach
I’m Dr. Thomas Ballas, a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), trauma, and perfectionism. I am licensed in NY, VA, and authorized to practice Telehealth in 41 states through PSYPACT. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in private practice, hospital settings, and with the U.S. Army, where I’ve developed a deep understanding of mental health challenges. My goal is to offer individualized, evidence-based therapy to help you overcome obstacles and make meaningful, lasting changes in your life. I believe in providing compassionate care that is tailored to your unique needs. Using proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), I work with you to improve your emotional well-being and guide you toward living a more fulfilling life.
