About My Clients

My clients vibe with my Depth Psychology approach. This means that I am paying close attention to the unconscious. I help you become aware of what has been repressed, rejected, or dissociated, or not yet able to be known. Growth and healing are associated with allowing those parts to come forward so that you can understand, explore its significance and integrate it, allowing for a transformation. My clients are curious, open, reflective, and playful.

My Background and Approach

I practice psychotherapy through a mixture of psychoanalytic, object relations, attachment, interpersonal neurobiology, somatic and psychodynamic theories. These theories and modalities would fit under the umbrella of Depth Psychology. Ultimately, however, it's the relational dynamic between you and I that most informs our work together. My role is to enter into your story with you and help co-create meaning together. Attending to our relational dynamic is an important part of psychotherapy. This is sort of like a relational “lab” where you get to work through dynamics, conflicts, and patterns that show up for you outside of therapy. We get to practice working through these things together so that they can also change and be worked on with the other relationships in your life. Yes, it gets messy and uncomfortable sometimes. But more importantly, it’s real, genuine authentic meeting where you get to show up fully and still be valued, accepted, and cared for.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I really believe in this stuff. I have done my own personal psychotherapy for over 10 years and I am continually doing my own work in some capacity because I believe this is a lifelong journey of self discovery. I know what it is like to sit in the client’s seat, to look at website after website, taking the gamble on a therapist who I hope “gets” me. I know transformation is possible for you because it has been possible for me. I am a part of the LGBTQ+ community and work from an anti-oppression lens. I am white and with that comes a lot of privilege. I use that privilege to unlearn my own programming, learn, advocate, and work toward creating an equitable society where everyone gets to thrive.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
