Trained in evidenced based practice of CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) which helps look at situations from more of a rational point of view instead of an emotional one. This is helpful is "rewiring the anxious brain" around certain situations that can cause the client internal stress/anxiety. This anxiety can affect the emotional and physical state of mind, but also the attitude of the client. Also trained in trauma focused- CBT, which looks at the triggers from a trauma informed lens.

Worked as an oncology social worker for many years alongside hematologist /radiation oncologist. I am familiar with the emotional and practical needs of the patient, specially the anxiety that ensues with the diagnosis. My goal is to assist you during this journey and help you navigate how it impacts the relationships and environment around you.

I am passionate about this subject as I have had personal experience around burnout. I am trained in psychological first aid and have received extensive training around caregiver burnout, demanding work environments, vicarious trauma, secondary anxiety, codependency, people pleasing, and compassion fatigue for those in the helping profession.
